Prof. Christopher Winearls
President
Professor Christopher Winearls is the new President of the FROQ. He was an HP at the RI in 1974-5, consultant renal physician at the Churchill 1988 – 2019, Associate Professor of Medicine and Fellow of Jesus College.
Ian Baxter
Chair
Ian Baxter is Chair of the FROQ. He was a Social Worker at the Radcliffe Infirmary and John Radcliffe Hospital in the 1980s, and now works in the rail industry.
Dr. Derek Hockaday
Founding President
Dr. Derek Hockaday is the Friends’ Founding President. He is a retired Consultant Physician, Radcliffe Infirmary and John Radcliffe Hospital.
Prof. Terence Ryan
Professor Terence Ryan FRCP in Emeritus Professor of Dermatology, University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford. He advises the Friends on Oxford and world medical history.
Emma Gascoigne
Emma Gascoigne leads the Friends communications. She works in the rail industry in marketing and communications and lives in Oxford.
Dr Timothy Clayden
Dr. Timothy Clayden supports the Friends’ engagement with the University and colleges. He is Bursar of Green Templeton College, Oxford.
Vice Presidents
Prof. William Whyte
William Whyte is Professor of Social and Architectural History and a fellow of St John’s College, Oxford. As Senior Responsible Owner and chair of Project Board, he oversaw the building of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.
Xante Cummings
Xante Cummings is a retired nurse who trained at the Oxford School of Nursing based at the Radcliffe Infirmary, where she was also a ward sister. She was also the last President of the Radcliffe Guild of Nurses.

Professor David Matthews is Emeritus Professor of Diabetes Medicine, University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford.
Prof. Richard Hobbs
Professor Richard Hobbs is Nuffield Professor of Primary Care, University of Oxford, Head of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and a Fellow of Harris Manchester College Oxford.
Prof. David Cranston
Professor David Cranston FRCS is Associate Professor of Surgery and Consultant Urological Surgeon, University of Oxford, Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford.

Sir Muir Gray is Visiting Professor, Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, and Honorary Clinical Researcher, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford.
Dr Chris Adams
Dr Chris Adams is an Emeritus Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. He was previously a Governing Body Fellow of then-Green College. Chris is a retired Brain and Spine Surgeon and was long-time head of the Oxford Department of Neurosurgery.
